At least six children died of kidney failure in 15 days in Madhya Pradesh's Chhindwara district, with investigators reportedly suspecting contaminated cough syrup laced with toxic diethylene glycol as the cause of the deaths. The Health Ministry has reportedly sent a team of experts from the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) to Chhindwara to investigate the deaths.
