A 6-foot alligator caused a stir outside a Virginia motel after escaping its owner, who was transporting it to a zoo. Police responded just after midnight, capturing the reptile safely. Animal Protection Police arrived to assist the owner in safely placing the animal back into a vehicle. No injuries were reported.
