Aster MIMS Calicut successfully performed Kerala's first Fetal Balloon Aortic Valvotomy on a six-month-old fetus, saving the baby's life. Dr Renu P Kurup led the high-risk heart procedure after detecting severe aortic narrowing. Both mother and baby remained stable post-surgery, with a successful postnatal follow-up ensuring the baby's healthy birth and recovery.
