The death toll from the 6.9-magnitude earthquake in central Philippines has risen to 60, with over 140 people injured, a civil defence official said on Wednesday. Officials warned that the figures could increase. According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake's epicentre was located about 17 kilometres northeast of Bogo, a coastal city in Cebu province.
