A 65-year-old woman fought off a jackal for 30 minutes in Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri district. She went on to strangle the jackal to death with a strip of her saree. The jackal had bit her on her legs and hands repeatedly. The attack took place when the woman was cutting fodder. Doctors reported 18 deep wounds on her body.
