Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI), in its Annual Complaints Report 2024-25, said 69% of reviewed influencer advertisement posts failed to meet disclosure requirements. Out of the 1,015 advertisements processed for influencer violations, 98% required modification, it said. ASCI also noted a surge in reporting of offshore betting and gambling advertisements compared to the previous year.
