A magnitude-7.0 earthquake struck Kuril Islands close to Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia's Far East. Tsunami waves were possible in three areas of Kamchatka, the nation's Ministry for Emergency Services said. "The expected wave heights are low, but you must still move away from the shore," it stated. The Pacific Tsunami Warning System, however, said there was no tsunami warning.
