A 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck off southern Philippines' coast, near Manay town, killing at least six people. A 6.9-magnitude aftershock hours later caused additional damage and one more death. Both quakes, caused by movement along the Philippine Trench, triggered tsunami warnings and evacuations across the region, including parts of Indonesia and Palau. Rescue and relief efforts are ongoing.
