The government has informed that BSNL installed nearly 100,000 4G towers, reporting a Rs 250 crore profit after improved efficiency and customer growth. Out of them, 70,000 are active. The government plans to add another 100,000 towers and expand into 5G. Satellite internet will support remote areas but not replace mobile networks.
