Amid riots in Los Angeles after Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents carried out raids to arrest illegal immigrants, the US military will deploy about 700 Marines until more National Guard troops can arrive. The announcement was made on the fourth straight day of riots. Immigrants have been held at a federal detention centre in downtown Los Angeles.
