Astronomers have detected a mysterious blast of radio waves that took 8 billion years to reach Earth. Named FRB 20220610A, the fast radio burst is the most ancient and distant located to date. The burst lasted less than a millisecond and released the equivalent of the Sun's energetic emissions over 30 years, said the study published in Science journal.
