An 80-year-old man from Ganjam, Odisha, accidentally swallowed a nine-inch "miswak" while cleaning his teeth. After a week of severe pain, doctors at MKCG Medical College, Berhampur, surgically removed it using an oesophagoscope. The risky procedure was complicated due to his hypertension, but the ENT team succeeded. The patient is stable and recovering well.
