Sua Dai Maa, an 80-year-old with no formal education, has assisted in over 5,000 childbirths across six villages of Rajasthan over past 50 years without charging any money. Her journey began when a man, unable to find village midwife, pleaded for help as his wife went into labour. "That night, I safely delivered...baby...and then people started calling me," she said.
