The Centre informed Lok Sabha that in Round 1 of the Prime Minister's Internship Scheme (PMIS), 1,81,000 candidates submitted 6,21,000 applications. Of these, 82,000 internship offers were made, 28,000 were accepted, and only 8,700 candidates joined. Minister of State for Corporate Affairs Harsh Malhotra added that around 4,55,000 applications were received in Round 2, with 71,000 offers made.
