Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said 85 Indian nationals have been discharged from Russian military so far and efforts are on to free 20 more. The development comes before PM Narendra Modi's bilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday during BRICS Summit. Several Indians were allegedly cheated into fighting in Russia's war with Ukraine on pretext of lucrative jobs.
