Over 900 researchers and mathematicians have signed a petition urging University Grants Commission (UGC) to withdraw the draft undergraduate curriculum for mathematics. The petition claimed the curriculum is "riddled with grave defects, and if adopted, will damage prospects of generations of students". There's inadequate coverage of topics like algebra, real analysis and applied math, it added.
