The Centre informed Rajya Sabha that since December 2022, 905 drug companies have been inspected, resulting in 694 actions being taken based on risk factors like substandard drugs and complaints. "These actions include stop production orders, stop testing orders, licence suspensions/cancellations, warning letters, depending on the severity of non-compliance," Union Minister JP Nadda said.
