AAP's Botad MLA Umesh Makwana resigned from all party posts on Thursday and said that he felt that the party was deviating from the principles of Dr BR Ambedkar. Soon after his announcement, AAP Gujarat President Isudan Gadhvi said that Makwana has been suspended from the party for five years for engaging in anti-party and anti-Gujarat activities.
