AAP's Gopal Italia won the Visavadar Assembly bypoll in Gujarat by over 17,000 votes, getting over 75,000 votes. His nearest rival, BJP's Kirit Patel, got over 58,000 votes after 21 rounds of counting, while Congress' Nitin Ranpariya got over 5,000 votes. The Visavadar seat fell vacant in December 2023 as then-AAP lawmaker Bhupendra Bhayani resigned and joined the ruling BJP.
