AAP candidate Mahesh Kumar Khichi won the Delhi Mayoral Polls defeating BJP rival Kishan Lal. Khichi received 135 votes, however, two votes were declared invalid, while Kishan Lal got 130 votes. There was also cross-voting by AAP councillors as 10 members voted for the BJP candidate. Notably, Khichi succeeded AAP's Shelly Oberoi who assumed the office in 2023.
