Gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari's son and UP MLA Abbas Ansari has been disqualified from the UP Assembly following his conviction in a hate speech case, officials said. He has been sentenced to two years in jail for his threatening remarks against government officials at an election rally in 2022. His brother Mansoor Ansari has also been convicted in the case.
