Filmmaker Kawal Sharma has been arrested in Mumbai by Haldwani Police after evading a court-ordered sentence since 2022 regarding a cheque-bounce case. During the release of his 2013 film 'Delhi Eye', Sharma had allegedly borrowed ₹25 lakh from a businessman and supermodel, promising to repay ₹50 lakh within 30 days post-release. He issued a cheque for the amount, which bounced.
