Nitin Deshmukh, an NCP-SP worker who came into the spotlight during a physical altercation with BJP MLA Gopichand Padalkar's supporters in the Maharashtra Assembly lobby, has been appointed as one of the official spokespersons of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Sharad Pawar faction. The announcement was made by MLA Jitendra Awhad, the party's chief spokesperson.
