Abdul Wahid Shaikh, acquitted in the 7/11 Mumbai train blasts case of 2006 in 2015, has filed for ₹9 crore compensation, claiming nine years of wrongful imprisonment and severe custodial torture. "I was brutally tortured in custody, which has left me with lasting health issues," Shaikh said. The remaining accused in the case were acquitted in July 2025.
