Vaccine maker Serum Institute of India's CEO Adar Poonawalla will buy a 50% stake in producer Karan Johar-led Dharma Productions for ₹1,000 crore. The deal values Dharma Productions at ₹2,000 crore. Johar will be retaining the remaining 50% stake and continuing to lead the Bollywood production house as Executive Chairman. Poonawalla is buying the stake through his firm Serene Productions.
