Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Friday extended the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act for another six months in certain parts of Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, and Nagaland. AFSPA has been extended in Manipur except for the area under 13 police stations, in Nagaland's eight districts and 21 police stations in five other districts and in some areas of Arunachal Pradesh.
