The Armed Forces Tribunal (AFT) has reduced a Colonel's sentence, who was dismissed from service by a General Court Martial for having an improper relationship with a junior officer's wife, to loss of 2 years' past service for the purpose of pension and severe reprimand. Its Chandigarh Bench held that no reasons have been given by the GCM on imposing a higher sentence.
