A man named Lalji was arrested in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly for allegedly converting the religions of illiterate women and children. SP of Bareilly South, Anshika Verma, said the Faridpur Police Station received the information on July 13. She added that the police recovered some documents corroborating his crime and would investigate his bank accounts for any "funding angle".
