Tamil Nadu is expected to face a spell of intense heat from November 3 to 8, following several days of rain brought by the northeast monsoon. RMC Chennai said temperatures have risen sharply due to hot, dry westerly winds replacing the usual moisture-laden easterlies, with Chennai already recording 35.5°C at Nungambakkam.
