Goa CM Pramod Sawant announced on X that Vicky Kaushal's film 'Chhaava', based on "the life and sacrifice" of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, will be tax-free in the state. Goa becomes the second state, after MP, to grant this status to the movie. Sawant praised the film for "highlighting valour and courage of Sambhaji Maharaj, who fought against Mughals and Portuguese".
