In Karnataka's Hanumanthapura village, 20 peacocks were discovered dead on farmland, following deaths of monkeys, a tigress, and her four cubs. Officials inspected the site, and carcasses were sent for examination to determine the cause of death. Earlier, Karnataka forest minister Eshwar Khandre ordered an investigation into "unnatural death" of a tigress and her cubs in Male Mahadeshwara Hills.
