Julie Zhuo, ex-Facebook design VP, said she is worried about today's AI startups scaling by "good instincts and good vibes alone" without much of a data foundation. Traditionally, companies didn't hit 100 million users overnight as slower growth gave them years to hire a data team and develop "observability", she added. Zhuo warned that the startups' growth won't last forever.
