The AIADMK and BJP staged a joint protest against the ruling DMK, demanding justice for Ajith Kumar, a temple guard, who was allegedly tortured and killed in custody in Tamil Nadu's Sivaganga district on June 28. The BJP had on Tuesday said that over 24 people have died in custody in Tamil Nadu ever since the DMK came into power in 2021.
