Air Canada's employees went on strike on Saturday, compelling the airline to suspend all operations, which will disrupt travel plans for around 130,000 passengers/day. The airline's flight attendants are calling for higher wages and to be paid for work when aircraft are on the ground. Ahead of the strike, the airline had cancelled 623 flights affecting over 1 lakh passengers.
