Captain Sumeet Sabharwal, who was the pilot of Air India plane which crashed in Ahmedabad, had promised his aging father to spend more time with him after taking retirement, recalled his neighbour. Sumeet, who lived in Mumbai's Powai with his father, was just a few months away from retirement. "He was very reserved, disciplined," the neighbour added.
