The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has said that the London-bound Air India flight had crashed into a residential area (Meghani Nagar) in Ahmedabad five minutes after taking off. Visuals from the site showed a building and several vehicles on fire, with fire brigade officials trying to control the situation.
