Air India announced suspension of non-stop flights between Delhi and Washington, DC, from September 1. This move was taken due to shortage in fleets, as the airline added new features to 26 of its Boeing 787-8 aircraft last month. They further stated that the closure of airspace over Pakistan impacted their operations, leading to "longer flights and increased operational complexity".
