Research conducted in Prayagraj uncovered the troubling presence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria in the air, especially near wastewater treatment plants and hospitals. A total of 129 bacterial isolates were examined, revealing that 41 were resistant to at least one antibiotic. This discovery is critical for understanding the implications for public health.
