Airlines can resume normal operations Monday after the Federal Aviation Administration(FAA) lifted capacity restrictions imposed due to staffing shortages during the US shutdown. The announcement was made in a joint statement by Transportation Secretary Sean P Duffy and FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford. Flight reductions had reached 6% at their peak, but staffing-trigger events dropped sharply.
