Lance Naik Albert Ekka, an Oraon Christian soldier, became an Adivasi legend during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War. Leading a fierce assault at Gangasagar, he silenced enemy machine-guns despite grave injuries, preventing Agartala from falling to Pakistan. Posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, his courage and sacrifice continue to inspire generations across India and Bangladesh.
