Alexander Lukashenko was sworn in as Belarus President on Tuesday and will serve a seventh term in office. Incumbent President Alexander emerged victorious in the January presidential election. Russian President Vladimir Putin was among the first to extend wishes to Lukashenko. Earlier this month, he visited Russia as his first official foreign visit following the election.
