Alphabet shares posted their strongest quarterly gain in two decades, driven by the company's noteworthy progress in artificial intelligence (AI) technology and a relief from a milder-than-expected antitrust ruling. Alphabet Class A shares rose 38.1% in the three months ended September, their biggest such gain since mid-2005.
