A new study from MUSC Hollings Cancer Center has found that a protein linked to Alzheimer's, called amyloid beta, could actually strengthen the immune system against cancer. The protein helps energise T-cells- the body's defence fighters -making them more effective at attacking tumours. Researchers believe this discovery could pave the way for future cancer and anti-aging treatments.
