Amazon has shut down its AI research lab in Shanghai, which was established by its cloud services arm Amazon Web Services in 2018, reports stated. The move comes amid rising tensions between US and China, with the American government increasing its scrutiny of US companies operating in China. The AI lab produced over 100 academic papers during its six-year operation.
