A routine pipeline digging work in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh district led to a labourer's shovel striking a bag of ancient gold coins buried underground. Some onlookers allegedly tried to take the coins but were prevented by bystanders and local police. Officials said the coins have been handed over to the concerned authorities for expert examination to determine their origin.
