A 24×7 forest station in Rangat, Middle Andaman, has cracked over 100 wildlife crime cases since its 2024 revival. Forest staff seized over 800 hunting traps, rescued deer and wild pigs, and intercepted smugglers. Locals, including former poachers, now aid patrols. The initiative, run without special funding, is transforming conservation through vigilance and community trust.
