A police constable and a home guard were arrested in Andhra Pradesh's Chittoor district for allegedly raping a 28-year-old woman multiple times after spiking her drink. She had approached them for help. She alleged that despite repeated attempts to file a complaint, no action was taken for two weeks until she publicly appealed for justice. Bangarupalyam police registered a case.
