The Andhra Pradesh Police Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Tuesday arrested one of the accused, Govindappa Balaji, in alleged ₹3,200 crore liquor scam, an official confirmed. The scam allegedly took place during previous YSRCP regime (2019-2024). Balaji is an executive director at Bharathi Cement Corporation Pvt Ltd. The main accused, Kasireddy Rajasekhar Reddy (Raj), was arrested last month.
