Despite an uptick in tax collections in Q1 of 2025-26, the Andhra Pradesh government continues to remain in a financial straitjacket. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu sought ₹10,000 crore from the Union government under the SASCI scheme and an additional ₹26,000 crore as an outright grant for the construction of Amaravati.
