Anthropic told WIRED that rival AI startup OpenAI's technical staff is using Claude Code to write code ahead of GPT-5's launch. Anthropic has reportedly revoked OpenAI's access to its Claude family of AI models, saying OpenAI's methods violate Anthropic's terms of service. However, it said it'd continue to give OpenAI access for purposes of benchmarking and safety evaluations.
